Information on the new 41 and 40 Routes

Our organisation put a tremendous amount of effort over two years in trying to make this route work, 200+ volunteer hours.  It failed for several reasons.  Due to road construction and some poor drivers, the route often ran very late and was unreliable.  Most riders preferred to walk a mile or more to board the very reliable Mount Pleasant 40 route instead.  Several critical locations never obtained a stop, such as Boone Hall and the Charles Pinckney Historic site due to an overemphasis on maintaining high speed auto travel at the expense of transit.  This cost the route potential riders.  We’re very sorry for the community, the disabled riders who lost tel-a-ride coverage and the small number of riders for which this route was a lifeline.  We’ll try again some day.

You can now plan transit trips using other  routes East of the Cooper automatically  using Google Transit.
